Argon Gas Technology Between Glasses
In ordinary balcony glasses, heat escapes instantly. The Şişecam Insulating Glass units with TS EN 1279 certification used in our systems have an insulation gap of 16mm to 20mm between the two glasses (4mm + 4mm).
This gap is filled with Argon (90%) gas, which is heavier and denser than air. Due to its molecular structure, Argon gas slows down heat transfer (convection) and creates a perfect thermal barrier in winter. If extra Low-E coated Isıcam Synergy is used in the project, the insulation value exceeds even the standards.

Heavy-Duty Carrier and Espagnolette Lock
The weight of insulated glass panels is twice that of standard glasses (~25-30 kg per m²). In order to carry this huge mass smoothly and safely, instead of standard 1.2mm profiles, a T5 alloy Aluminum Frame with a minimum wall thickness of 2.0mm - 2.5mm is used.
The panels are interlocked with each other not by old generation silicone or brush seals, but by interlocking Aluminum + EPDM rubber seals. When you close the glass, there is no chance for the outside wind to leak in. In addition, an impenetrable security shield is created with the multi-point Built-in Espagnolette Lock.
- Child Safety: The mortise lock structure prevents small children from opening the balcony glass on their own.
- Stainless Roller: Polyamide-coated heavy-duty wheels with double steel balls allow the panels to be slid easily even with a single finger.

Does the insulated glass balcony really keep the room warm?
Absolutely. Compared to standard single glasses, argon gas-filled double glass panels and insulated aluminum EPDM seals prevent cold outdoor air from entering and warm indoor air from escaping. If you have a radiator, you can use your balcony like a cozy room of your home.
Can I convert my old glass balcony into an insulated system?
The glass thickness (24mm) and weight of insulated systems are much greater than standard glasses. The thin frames (rail channels) of the old generation single-glass profiles do not fit this thickness, and the old wheels cannot carry this load. For this reason, glass replacement cannot be done; the system must be manufactured from scratch along with the carrier frame and sash profiles.
Does dust or water get between the insulated glasses? Does it sweat?
Insulated glass units in TS EN 1279 standards are produced in a factory environment by completely vacuuming the space between the two glasses and sealing them with insulation putties. It is impossible for dust or air to enter, therefore there is NEVER condensation or contamination between the two glasses. It has a 10-year fabrication leak-proof guarantee.
